This course is open to women-identifying and non-binary folx as well as trans men of any skill level without a prerequisite.
Description:
This course is an introduction to basic woodworking and assembly. In this class you will build a functional and beautiful planter box out of pressure treated pine. This workshop will cover safe power tool use. The skills learned in this course form a foundation for rough carpentry. We will discuss the basics of selecting lumber for your outdoor project. All planters built in this class will be used in a community beautification process.
Sliding Scale Payment:
Since 2020, we have offered a sliding scale for all of our course offerings. Materials costs are not included in the sliding scale. Please choose a tuition amount that you can afford to attend this class.
