Hammerstone courses are open to all women and gender minorities. Hammerstone welcomes all trans folks including trans men. This course welcomes folks of all skill levels with no prerequisite.
Description:
Power tools are mysterious. You plug them in and with the pull of a trigger or the push of a button, blades start moving and bits start spinning. Did you know that you can open up your power tool and see what's going on inside? Usually the first time we do this is when a power cord breaks, either by accidental cutting, or by years of wear and tear. While you might think you need to send your tool off to a shop to be fixed (often costing more than the tool did originally), it is possible to buy replacement parts and fix a lot of things yourself.
Sliding Scale Payment:
Since 2020, we have offered a sliding scale for all of our course offerings. Materials costs are not included in the sliding scale. Please choose a tuition amount that you can afford to attend this class.
