What species makes the best firewood and what does that have to do with woodworking? What kind of oak is used in wine barrels and why? Why do my drawers stick in summer but not in winter? In this in-depth tutorial we’ll answer these questions and more. We’ll put our hands on lots of samples, and look at pictures of wood in its native habitat, the forest.
