In this class, students will be guided through the low-relief woodcarving process from start to finish. The process will include preparing the wood, transferring your design, carving with tools, and finishing techniques.

Who is this class for:
Hammerstone courses are open to all women and gender minorities. Hammerstone welcomes all trans folks including trans men. This course welcomes folks of all skill levels with no prerequisite.

Description: 
In this course, students will finish at least one hand-carved wall hanging. The art is finished with wax and sawtooth hook installed for easy hanging. Students will also have an opportunity to carve a four-sided pillar candle holder.
