Ever wanted to make furniture that’s both beautiful and functional? In this two-day class, you’ll start by building a low stool. You’ll learn essential woodworking skills such as measuring, cutting, sanding, and joinery to assemble a sturdy stool frame. On day two, Phil Syphrit, local expert seat weaver, will lead the rattan weaving portion of the class, transforming your wooden frame into a completed woven stool. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have learned core carpentry skills and created a personalized piece to enjoy at home. No prior woodworking or seatweaving experience required.
