Who is this class for:
Hammerstone courses are open to all women and gender minorities. Hammerstone welcomes all trans folks including trans men. There is no prerequisite and this course welcomes folks of all skill levels.

Description:
No construction project is done until you’ve framed the roof. Roof framing requires careful planning and understanding of angles and how they relate to the rest of the house. Although it looks like a lot of math, there are ways to measure and layout rafters that don’t require any calculations. We’ll show you how to layout your rafter graphically, and then check it using a calculator, introducing construction calculators as a helpful tool for doing carpentry math of all kinds.
