This course has no prerequisite. In Tiny House Siding we review all the necessary basic carpentry and woodworking skills.
Description:
Finish carpentry consists of both interior and exterior work that protect the structure of the house and provide an aesthetically pleasing look. In this class, we will be focusing on exterior siding. Siding is the house's first line of defense against water, and we will cover how to properly think about water infiltration and drainage in your siding system, including rain screens and flashing. Siding typically terminates at a variety of types of trim including fascia, soffit, corner boards, and window and door trim. We will discuss different methods for terminating different types of siding at these transition points.
