Who is this class for:
Hammerstone courses are open to all women and gender minorities. Hammerstone welcomes all trans folks including trans men.

Prerequisite:
This class has no prerequisite. In Intro to Cabinetry courses we review all the necessary basic carpentry and woodworking skills. Cabinetry Basics: Carcasses and Drawers is NOT a prerequisite for Cabinetry Basics: Doors and Drawer Fronts.

Description:
The craft of cabinetmaking is rooted in fine woodworking, but requires more of a production mentality.  Beyond building the carcasses and doors, the appearance of most cabinets is determined by the doors and drawer fronts.  Learning to build a frame and panel door is a useful skill for cabinetmaking and furniture making alike.

In this class we will use a variety of woodworking tools to build the doors and drawer fronts for the cabinets built in class the previous week.
