Hammerstone courses are open to all women and gender minorities. Hammerstone welcomes all trans folks including trans men. This course welcomes folks of all skill levels with no prerequisite.
Description:
This hands-on workshop is a great way to try your hand at building Adirondack-style furniture. In this class, you’ll gain experience with essential woodworking tools and techniques while making a functional ottoman. It’s perfect for students who have taken our two-day Adirondack chair class and want to expand their set, or for newcomers eager to tackle a smaller project before committing to a full chair. Pieces are made from locally sourced, naturally rot-resistant larch, and the design has been refined for durability and comfort. By the end of class, you’ll leave with a beautiful piece of furniture you built yourself.
